Go to AME for setup if you wish to continue using AAC and HEVC (H.265). Cameras using HEVC (H.265) can no longer play videos, display thumbnails, or use Motion Detection via Surveillance Station without further settings. Cameras using AAC will be switched to other available audio formats automatically.
Starting from DSM 7.1-42661, Surveillance Station 9.0 requires the DSM package Advanced Media Extensions (AME) to play AAC audio and HEVC (H.265) video format. The Log application has removed the rule setting page and will log all actions from now on.
Surveillance Station 9.0 does not support VS360HD models running firmware version 3.0.5 or below and VS240HD models. Certain management features will no longer be supported on VisualStation and Surveillance Station Local Display. The existing functions, layouts, and settings will be completely migrated to the new platform. Live View and Timeline have merged into Monitor Center. Surveillance Station 9.0.0-7656 only supports VS960HD 3.0.0 and above. Surveillance Station 9.0.0-7656 only supports VS360HD 5.0.0 and above. Surveillance Station 9.0.0-7656 only supports Synology Surveillance Station Client 2.0.0 and above. Surveillance Station 9.0.0-7656 must be installed on Synology products running DSM 7 or above. The actual time of release may vary slightly depending on the region. The update is expected to be available in all regions within the next few days.
